If Turkey does not stop threatening Cyprus, Energy chapter will not be opened: govt spokesman

Nicosia. Cypriot government spokesman Stefanos Stefanu has said that if Turkey does not fulfill its duties and does not stop threatening the Republic of Cyprus, Energy chapter will not be opened, Turkish Dunya daily writes.
The Cypriot official’s statement came as a response to the words of the Swedish Prime Minister that this year Turkey and the EU had to start accession negotiations on energy issues.
“A European country must not threaten another country and our European partners have to take this into account,” said Stefanu.
