Macedonia turned into a white landscape

Heavy snowfall in many areas of Central and Western Macedonia, while snow chains are necessary for vehicles to access the macedonian ski resorts.

Snow chains are required for vehicles heading to the ski resort of Voras Mt. (Kaimaktsalan) from St. Athanasius, Arnissa, and Kerasia. The tire chains are also necessary for vehicles heading to the ski center “3-5 Pigadia” and the national ski resort of Seli from the direction of Veria. The road from Naoussa to Seli, is closed.

The road network in Serres and in Polygyros of Halkidiki are clean, while snow chains are required for the vehicles moving on Vitsi, in the prefecture of Florina (18th to 28th km).

Snow chains are necessary also for vehicles moving on the Kastoria-Amydeo roadway (22nd to 38th km) and on the Kastoria-Ioannina roadway, via Nestorio (30th to 60th km).

No tire chains are required for the access to the ski resort Vasilitsa, in the prefecture of Grevena.
