Huge crowds have gathered across the country to celebrate Australia Day.
In Melbourne, thousands of people lined the streets for the annual parade through the CBD.
Multiculturalism was the theme as marchers honoured their different heritages by draping themselves in traditional dress as countless Australian flags waved in the crowd.
In Sydney, Aboriginal dancers performed the Woggan-ma-gule Morning Ceremony to kick off celebrations at Farm Cove while the Ferrython Race made its way past the Opera House and through the harbour
