Historian Orosius about the ancient Macedonians
From Wikipedia
Paulus Orosius (b. circa 375, d. 418?) was a Christian historian, theologian and student of Augustine of Hippo from Gallaecia. He is best known for his Historiarum Adversum Paganos Libri VII (“Seven Books of History Against the Pagans”), which he wrote in response to the belief that the decline of the Roman Empire was the result of its adoption of Christianity.
The Historian Orosius states in his works about ancient Macedonians that they are a Greek nation, like Atheneans and Thebans.

The Macedonians are by definition Greek. They spoke Greek, observed Greek customs like all Greek people, and were called to Christianity in the Greek language by the Apostle Paul. Macedonian history was well established over one thousand years before the first Slavs migrated to their territory.
