A film about a nation held hostage because of its name.

Just informing members who may not be aware that national and international promotion of a new film “A Name is Name” has begun with many illegal references to Macedonia as a ‘Republic’.

The fallacies continue albeit this time in what appears to be behind the shroud of a Euro arthouse movie/documentary being released soon around the world. Apologies to posters and readers already aware. World wide Premier locations via the website that includes much more detail and a trailer.

I personally have not seen it. But this story has tentacles throught the world even where I reside Perth, Western Australia, the most georgraphically isolated captial city in the world.

How were the invading Slavs stole the lands they inhabit now in Balkans? Wasnt it done by force?
How were Ottoman Turks conquered lands in Balkans. Wasnt it done by force?

If Macedonia is Greek why don't you go and take your lands in Turkey and Sicily, according to your arguements they to belong to Greece, but you can't, because Macedonia was taken buy force and if a democratic vote was taken at the time the whole of Macedonia would be a free country!!! Very True!
Greeks are the only ones who can claim ancient Macedonia. The later mixed state of macedonia had many different people living in it and they were Macedonians only because they lived in Macedonia but the language and culture is ONLY Greek.

First of all many facts and fallacy’s are wrong! First fact is that macedonians were barbarians,speaking a dialect which was unknown and even no understood by main hellenic attic dialect! Its true macedonians were closely to spartans,but question was,why spartans are accepted macedonians not? WHY? Demosthenes,Phillipic Third,31 said

This is very big issue!
Second fact from many is that territory for which greeks are saying is his and has all right upon a macedonian history has been taken from us macedonians in 1912 year! People living in South Macedonia are macedonians and that is not fallacy!
Greece is newly created country in 1829 year and has nothing to do with ancient greeks neither macedonians!
Other fact is that worshiped greek culture and everything greek owned then,but that isn’t showing u that he was hellen! He lived for the glory of MACEDONIA not greece or other country!
There were no ancient maps and references with the name “greece” and that is not fallacy,but fact!
