We have already seen generally the
account of Ravenstein about
Macedonia in 1877. Here is a more analytical view from
Xiotis. Of course no “ethnic Macedonians” were mentioned in the following journal article which described the different ethnic groups residing in European Turkey during the 19th century.
For our friends from FYROM browsing this site: with regards to the new FYROMian theory being promoted which suggests all Greeks were invented post 1822: who manufactured all of those Greeks outside of the Greek kingdom?
