The Macedonian struggle which took place between 1904-1908 was fought amongst Greeks, Bulgarian Komitadjis and Turks. Many Indigenous Macedonians along with other Greeks who rushed to help their brothers as volunteers, fought for the liberation of Macedonia. They were Known as "Makedonomachoi".
